SO HERE COMES THE ACID TEST: is Jacqui Smith, as she proclaims, an enemy of extremism in all its forms, or a cowardly hypocrite?

In October, the Home Secretary announced 'tough new measures' to deny entry to Britain to anybody 'engaged in fostering, encouraging or spreading extremism and hatred.' In recent weeks she has put them to use by banning a Dutch MP with hugely controversial views on Islam, and a notorious anti-gay US preacher. But will she be prepared to apply the same new standards to Islamic extremists who preach a hatred of Jews?

Ibrahim Moussawi, a known hardliner with links to Hezbollah, has been invited to speak at a London university, the School of Oriental and African Studies. His track-record speaks for itself.

He allegedly described Jews as 'a lesion on the forehead of history', and is an editor for the newspaper of Lebanon-based terrorist organisation Hezbollah. He is also former political editor of the Iranian-backed group's TV station, which is banned in many countries including France, Spain and the US, as its output is seen as anti-Semitic.

In short, it is a no-brainer for Miss Smith. He should, as the Centre for Social Cohesion and the Conservatives argue today, be banned from setting foot in the UK, let alone speaking here. Failure to do so must represent double-standards of the very worst kind.

The Far-Right Dutch MP Geert Wilders was banned from travelling to Britain to show his shocking 17-minute film called Fitna at the House of Lords because his views were considered wildly extreme.

His film, which links mainstream Islamic texts with the terrorist attacks on New York in September 2001, was indeed crude and provocative. It begins with the hugely controversial cartoon of the Prophet Mohammed with a bomb as a turban, and the suggestion that the Koran is ‘a fascist book’ is patently offensive to millions of people.

But so are the odious ramblings of Moussawi.

Miss Smith also banned the Reverend Fred Phelps, founder of the notorious Westboro Baptist Church in Kansas, from entering the UK earlier this month. The 'Reverend', who campaigns under the slogan ‘God Hates Fags’ is fanatical and hateful in equal measure. He had wanted to visit Britain to picket a performance of a play which dramatises the real-life murder of a gay man in 1998. Miss Smith said he had ‘engaged in unacceptable behaviour by inciting hatred against a 'number of communities’. So has Moussawi.

Yet Labour has, in the past, been happy to display double standards when the beneficiaries were Islamic extremists. The cleric Yusuf al-Qaradawi was not just granted a visa to visit the UK in 2005, despite being publicly praised by the then London Mayor Ken Livingstone at City Hall. Al-Qaradawi had been criticized for condoning suicide bombings and for having anti-Semitic and homophobic views.

Will Miss Smith now repeat the past mistakes of a left-wing establishment inexplicably tolerant of Islamic franatics who pass themselves off as scholars or academics? The omens do not look good. During her time as Home Secretary, Moussawi has already been allowed in at least twice—in December 2007 and February 2008.

This is her third—and surely final—chance to show some courage.

BUT NOT TO HOLY ISLAM. Hadith Qudsi 19:5: "The Prophet said that Allah commanded him to destroy all the musical instruments, idols, crosses and all the trappings of ignorance."

The Hadith Qudsi, or holy Hadith, are those in which Muhammad transmits the words of Allah, although those words are not in the Qur'an.

Muhammad also said:

(1) “Allah Mighty and Majestic sent me as a guidance and mercy to believers and commanded me to do away with musical instruments, flutes, strings, crucifixes, and the affair of the pre-Islamic period of ignorance.”
(2) “On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will pour molten lead into the ears of whoever sits listening to a songstress.”

(3) “Song makes hypocrisy grow in the heart as water does herbage.”

(4) “This community will experience the swallowing up of some people by the earth, metamorphosis of some into animals, and being rained upon with stones.” Someone asked, “When will this be, O Messenger of Allah?” and he said, “When songstresses and musical instruments appear and wine is held to be lawful.”

(5) “There will be peoples of my Community who will hold fornication, silk, wine, and musical instruments to be lawful ….” -- 'Umdat al-Salik r40.0

"Allah did not create man so that he could have fun. The aim of creation was for mankind to be put to the test through hardship and prayer. An Islamic regime must be serious in every field. There are no jokes in Islam. There is no humor in Islam. There is no fun in Islam. There can be no fun and joy in whatever is serious."

PERHAPS RATHER THAN LOOKING BACK, as has become fashionable in our time, to all the “splendid gifts” the West supposedly received from Islam during the Middle Ages (“science”, "philosophy", "medicine", “algebra”, and if you read certain discredited Muslim apologists, practically everything civilized), our historical attention should focus instead on the barbarity that Muslims might have passed along to those Westerners who endured centuries of rule under Muslims: Slavs, Greeks, Italians, Spanish—perhaps that explains, for example, some of the brutality of the Conquistadores? It can hardly be a coincidence that they had only recently emerged out of a culture that had been under more than 700 years of Islamic rule?

Ditto this for the Sicilian Mafia and other pathologies of Sicilian culture—Sicily had been conquered by Muslims and ruled by them for some 200 years.

Considering Sicily and the influence of Islam on it—it seems that the Norman who re-conquered Sicily, King Roger and his son Roger II, who ruled Sicily were typical of modern dhimmis—they had the power, but they chose to “respect” Muslims and allowed them to inter-weave their Islam into Sicilian sociopolitical culture:

Though King Roger I (1093-1101 A.D.) put an end to Islamic rule in Sicily, he did not harm its Muslim people; on the contrary , he provided them with protection, and recognized their religion and legislation and allowed them their own judges, if they chose. He also allowed them to celebrate their religious occasions in public. In addition, he abstained from participation in the crusades in spite of the Pope's pressure. This shows that Sicily during his rule was a half-lslamic kingdom in religion and in its administrative and military system.

Roger II (1101-1154 A.D.) succeeded his father and followed his tradition in protecting Muslims through his influence and laws; some Muslims wrongly believed that he was a secret Muslim. An example of the King's tolerance and his love of justice and equality is that he inscribed all Sicilian coins in Arabic, Latin and Greek, the languages used by his citizens. He is also reported to have imitated the Muslims rulers in their loose clothes and the Roman Caesars and the European emperors in a clear indication of his lack of bias.

His court in Palermo contained a large number of Muslim poets and scientists...

Read it all but be sure to throw in a few grains of salt.

No man survives when freedom fails;
the best men rot in filthy jails.
And those who cry "Appease, appease!"
are hanged by those they tried to please.

—Horace Mann

The best lack all conviction, while
The worst are full of passionate intensity.

RIGHT-WING DUTCH LEGISLATOR Geert Wilders, who is being prosecuted at home for anti-Islam remarks, said he was barred from entering Britain on Thursday after he landed in defiance of a government ban. Wilders wanted to show his film "Fitna," which argues that the Koran incites violence, in the British parliament. But he was told by British authorities on Tuesday that he was being excluded. Despite that, he took a flight to London.

"I am in a detention centre at Heathrow. I will not be allowed to enter the country. They will send me back within a few hours," Wilders told Reuters from the airport.

"It is a very sad day, not only for me, but for freedom of speech," he said. The Home Office said he would not be allowed entry into the country, but gave no other details....

Wilders' exclusion caused a diplomatic spat between the Netherlands and Britain. And this is a story with hardly a peep from the mainstream media.

It has come to this: If you are an Islamic radical, trained to carry out terrorist atrocities in al-Qaeda’s jihad against the United Kingdom, the British will welcome you with open arms. Not content with that, Great Britain will lobby insistently for your release from custody so that you may freely roam British streets—and the halls of Westminster.

If, by contrast, you are a duly elected representative in the democratic government of a country to which England is bound in the European Union, and you speak about the undeniable—though mulishly denied—nexus between Islamic doctrine and jihadist terror, Great Britain will slam her door in your face.

Read it all.

DUBAI. THE NEW GLAM. Well, I wonder how long THIS will last? A dollar an hour. Tiger Woods. The ultimate horse race. What on God's green rock is wrong with this picture? Building on foundations of sand might be the first clue.

Israeli liberal Tzipi Livni has lost her freaking marbles. Meanwhile, what do you call those million or so Palestinian Arabs still clamoring for a homeland? How about they fess up that they are dunked-in-the-Koran Jordanians, people. Seriously, these tonsils of fire liberals of every stripe need to snatch a hint from the nostrils of history. This ain't Hamas rocket science we're talking about here.

From the haunts of Hell brought to us by those who believe in their religion more than they allow others to believe in theirs.

PESHAWAR—Girls’ education remained the prime victim in Swat where over 119,248 females in private and public sector schools have been affected while 122 schools for females and 65 others for boys destroyed since the ongoing violence erupted in the town, a study disclosed.

Two police stations, 12 police posts, 80 video centres, around 300 CD shops, 25 barbershops, 24 bridges, 15 basic health units, an electricity grid station and a main gas supply line were either destroyed or severely damaged by the militants during the past few months’ violence in once the tourist haven. Two cable networks were closed while another was blown up in the district during the recent past.

The study carried out by some non-government organizations reveals that 700 hotels were closed in the area that made 30,000 workers jobless....

Containing them and fighting them by proxy might be the most efficient way to win. To try to civilize Islam is perhaps a Sisyphean task. But simply contrive to turn Islam's own ugly fangs against itself, and maybe Muslims would finally learn, and learn more swiftly, than they could from democratization and education efforts. And that is how Christian-inspired authors (among others) often arrange to have the bad guy punished: at his own hands.

In some of the more interesting theologies, the divine doesn't punish. God doesn't create hell. God merely sets bounds to hell, so that hell won't spread over the whole world. And the boundaries are not impassible, provided one who is accustomed to hell can bear to leave and can then endure the more powerful experiences of heaven. (See The Great Divorce, a brilliant, witty, allegory by C.S. Lewis.)

A little late to the story, but I was stunned to come across this article highlighting an astonishing point of view from my own local paper. How did I miss this one? The atrocity, the madness, the upside down worldview that parades around as journalism today, uh, leaves me speechless to my core. But in a splendid case of serendipity, if mem'ry serves, I believe that the WP article in question was published about the same time I finally picked up the telephone to cancel my subscription to the Post after 25 years of readership.

Good riddance. Here's the FrontPage complaint:

IN A BOUT OF JOURNALISTIC MALPRACTICE, The Washington Post ran a story Tuesday declaring that officials had uncovered the true motivations of the Mumbai terrorists: 400 years of persecution by the West and the existence of Jews, especially in Israel. WaPo reported:

...Indian officials suspect that the group allegedly behind the attack, Pakistan-based Lashkar-i-Taiba, draws support from security and intelligence forces within that country and is fueled by a growing list of grievances that stretch from the 17th century to the subcontinent's partition in 1947, which created the independent nations of India and Pakistan.

The Post quotes one of the murderers who telephoned officials as simply asking that the destruction of mosques and "killings" be stopped—and that all imprisoned terrorists be set free to kill again.

In addition to presenting the terrorists as a justifiably aggrieved population, laboring under 400 years of "grievances," the Post notes Western provocations against Mohammedans did not end 60 years ago in the postwar world. "The grievances also include India's increasingly warm ties with the United States and Israel, counterterrorism experts say."

During the three-day siege that claimed the lives of more than 170 innocent people, one of the terrorists, Imran Babar, called an Indian television station to discuss his motives. After breaking into the city's only Jewish center, the Chabad House, and killing six people including its spiritual leader, Rabbi Gavriel Noach Holtzberg and his wife, Rivka, Babar used the slain rabbi's cell phone to call and complain about the Jewish state. Babar voiced outrage that Israeli Major General Avi Mizrahi visited Kashmir in September to discuss counterterrorism with Israel's democratic ally, India:

"You call their army staff to visit Kashmir. Who are they to come to J and K?" Imran told the anchor, referring to the disputed Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. "This is a matter between us and the Hindus, the Hindu government. Why does Israel come here?"

[And yet all of the Muslim world rises up in outrage over the Israeli-Arab conflict. Does the Post detect the double standard? Not on their life. Same tired rhetoric. End of story.]

Like Ariel Sharon's visit to the Temple Mount, a pretext was fitted to an act of premeditated violence. Nor is this the only incident of blatant provocation the Post could find:

India and Israel have had a defense alliance since 1992, when diplomatic relations between the countries were established. India has become a major purchaser of Israeli weapons, which has angered some of India's Muslims. The visit by the Israeli general was kept secret for days, news reports said, for fear of riots by Muslims in Kashmir, a predominantly Muslim area patrolled by more than 300,000 mostly Hindu Indian troops.

Once again, Jewish merchants and interlopers are setting off waves of Muslim violence around the globe by, being Jews. Inevitably, the very existence of Israel as a state was introduced near the end of the piece, as a summary of the Pakistani terrorists' case:

"Kashmir is a symbol, like Palestine, of a sense of injustice. It is a rallying cry for a much larger anger at India and the West," said Bruce Riedel, author of "The Search for al Qaeda."

Thus, the real problem in India is the existence of Israel. And Kashmir, Kosovo, Andalusian Spain, and any other province that strains against the pressures of Islamic irredentism.

In fairness, the Post story does mention the force of Islamofascism, though, needless to say, not by that term. Lashkar-i-Taiba radicalism is mentioned, though it is given less space than passages that present the terrorists as victims:

"Lashkar has a very specific pan-Islamic vision: the recovery of all Muslim lands once ruled by Muslims, including India, Central Asia and Spain. And they've gone after those countries that they believe were usurped from traditional Muslim rulers," said Ashley J. Tellis, a senior associate at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace who has been tracking Lashkar since 2001. "The goal is very apocalyptic and simple: attack these enemies and the symbols of those enemies," he said.

It is this apocalyptic vision that has led Lashkar to kill hundreds of Indians, at times dressed as Hindu holy men. Whatever the immediate goals of (LIT), the ultimate goal of Islam is worldwide submission to Shari'a law. "No babe is born but [as a Muslim]," said Mohammed. "It is his parents who make him a Jew, or a Christian, or a polytheist." This universal compulsion explains all expressions of Islamic jihad. The recounting of centuries of oppression, overlooking centuries of their oppression of others, explains the depth of self-pity and victimization in the Muslim mind. To place this self-pitying narrative alongside Jewish arms merchants and Indian self-defense is an abrogation of journalism at the highest level.

This from the fog-infested British Isles where Islam has reached numbers enough to put spring into their own hollow steps and a special venom on their taquiyya-torqued tongues.

"Erica Connor claims her bosses did nothing as a group of Muslim governors tried to force her to change the school curriculum." She also says she was “harassed” by the four-strong team as they demanded the pupils be taught more about Allah and Islam. And they tried to “railroad” her into linking up with the local mosque and focusing on Muslim worship, says the 57-year-old head, who has taken her fight to London’s High Court."

Read more HERE.

The more Muslims in one's nation the more intimidation, even for control of the schools. Then there's that awesome matter of the loss of freedom of speech that's being pushed through the IOC and UN behind the unified tactics of the 57 Muslim nations.

The United States should abandon the impotent Islamic tool called the United Nations like the League of Nations before it, and close the New York City apparatus down. Frankly, to scan the global politik, sniff the air, and come to one's clearest sensibilities, it is no large leap to realize we in the West are living in a post UN world.

On September 7, 2008, from Australia, it was reported that a web site posted by a group called the Al-Ikhlas Islamic Network, argues in Arabic that lighting fires is an effective form of terrorism justified in Islamic law. The article as follows:

AUSTRALIA HAS BEEN SINGLED OUT as a target for "forest jihad" by a group of Islamic extremists urging Muslims to deliberately light bushfires as a weapon of terror.

US intelligence channels earlier this year identified a website calling on Muslims in Australia, the US, Europe and Russia to "start forest fires", claiming "scholars have justified chopping down and burning the infidels' forests when they do the same to our lands".

The website, posted by a group called the Al-Ikhlas Islamic Network, argues in Arabic that lighting fires is an effective form of terrorism justified in Islamic law under the "eye for an eye" doctrine.

The posting—which instructs jihadis to remember "forest jihad" in summer months—says fires cause economic damage and pollution, tie up security agencies and can take months to extinguish so that "this terror will haunt them for an extended period of time".

"Imagine if, after all the losses caused by such an event, a jihadist organisation were to claim responsibility for the forest fires," the website says. "You can hardly begin to imagine the level of fear that would take hold of people in the United States, in Europe, in Russia and in Australia."

With the nation heading into another hot, dry summer, Australian intelligence agencies are treating the possibility that bushfires could be used as a weapon of terrorism as a serious concern.

Attorney-General Robert McClelland said the Federal Government remained "vigilant against such threats", warning that anyone caught lighting a fire as a weapon of terror would feel the wrath of anti-terror laws.

"Any information that suggests a threat to Australia's interests is investigated by relevant agencies as appropriate," Mr McClelland said.

Adam Dolnik, director of research at the University of Wollongong's Centre for Transnational Crime Prevention, said that bushfires (unlike suicide bombing) were generally not considered a glorious type of attack by jihadis, in keeping with a recent decline in the sophistication of terrorist operations.

"With attacks like bushfires, yes, it would be easy. It would be very damaging and we do see a decreasing sophistication as a part of terrorist attacks," Dr. Dolnik said.

"In recent years, there have been quite a few attacks averted and it has become more and more difficult for groups to do something effective."

Dr. Dolnik said he had observed an increase in traffic on jihadi websites calling for a simplification of terrorist attacks because the more complex operations had been failing. But starting bushfires was still often regarded as less effective than other operations because governments could easily deny terrorism as the cause.

The internet posting by the little-known group claimed the idea of forest fires had been attributed to imprisoned Al Qaeda leader Abu Musab Al-Suri. It said Al-Suri had urged terrorists to use sulphuric acid and petrol to start forest fires.

And today's headlines:

Victoria remains under a shroud of smoke and grief today with thousands homeless and at least 134 people dead after the worst bushfires in Australia's history.

We await an investigation as to the culprits of this mass murder (as just reported on FOX News), and surely hope the Australian authorities live up to earlier chutzpah by government officials who have gone on record telling the Muslim agitators to leave Australia and move to a place where the islamic medieval code of institutionalized barbarism is the law of the land.

OH MY, THE CLUTTERED THINKING of liberal largesse—if this woman is not an evil capo, but merely a conscript of a pathetic and vicious culture, why aren't YOU doing everything you can possibly do to help utterly defeat these demented ideologues? Why aren't all 81 women in this bra slum being murdered by fellow Islamicists FOR THEIR OPPOSITION to this distorted repugnant way of thinking? Death before dishonor, eh? Poorly educated, no preferable worldview, no human instincts for self-survival, Stockholm syndrome. Does it matter?

Seems plenty of these women find the stones to swiftly protest against Israel and the West in defense of this pernicious death cult clinging to barbaric sensibilities of a 7th Century rapine warlord, but according to their dhimmi appeasers are nothing but helpless plebes against their own ruthless handlers. Pathetic logic on their part, and on the part of the Left who would somehow save or forgive these wretched souls from the horrors of Israeli or American intervention.

This is not religion. This is war.

BRAVE AND MARVELOUS WAFA SULTAN is pounding at the gates of hell again, and few are they who have the ears to hear. Here she is:

"If Islam really treated women with honor, we would see the positive consequences of that honor over the course of the past 14 centuries. Islam did not treat women with honor. On the contrary, it has distorted the concept of honor.

"My brother Rashid, I can call this pen a knife for 14 centuries, but it will never become a knife. It will remain a pen. Islam has turned these concepts upside-down, and has forced its followers to see things as their opposites—to view killing and beheading as an act of tolerance, to view taking a woman captive as an act of compassion, to view the plundering of spoils of war as their right, and to view masturbation against a little girl's thighs as marriage.

"Thus, it has destroyed the intellectual structure of the Arabic-speaking nation, and has produced people who cannot distinguish between things and their opposites—people with distorted thinking and warped mentality, as infertile as barren land, which cannot yield a thing.

"The best proof of this is the reality of Islam. When the Prophet Muhammad married the child 'Aisha, this was not an act of honor toward her childhood. When Muhammad married Zaynab, the wife of his adopted son, after seeing her naked and desiring her, this was not an act of honor toward married women. When Muhammad married the Jewish woman Safiya, upon his return from a raid in which he killed her father, brother, and husband, this was not an act of honor toward her. The same goes for all his marriages."

"Accusing women of being 'lacking in brains' is not an act of honor toward her. Human beings—whether male or female—are the property of their Creator. No human being has the right to own another. The subjugation of women reduces them to a level lower than beasts—not to mention the laws of inheritance, testimony in court, the beating of a wife who refuses to go to bed with her husband, and 'honor' crimes.

"Muhammad said in a hadith: 'Three things spoil one's prayer: a woman, a black dog, and a donkey.' Do they ever give this any thought? Do they realize that Allah chose the female body for his greatest invention—creation itself? Wouldn't it be moral to bestow upon the female body a certain holiness, instead of viewing it as impure?" [...]

"In my opinion, in the Arab countries in particular, you cannot say that the status of women has nothing to do with Islam. You cannot deny that there is a connection between the two. Islam is an all-embracing faith, which intervenes in the smallest details of a person's life—beginning with the way he should enter the toilet, and ending with—excuse my language—the way he should wipe his behind.

"Since Islam is an Arab religion, it has succeeded in erasing the culture, customs, and traditions of the Arabic-speaking peoples, more than in Islamic nations that are not Arabic speaking. Therefore, in the Arab world in particular, the status of women is an inevitable outcome of the Islamic teachings." [...]

"I firmly believe that the Islamic faith was created to serve Muhammad, and to legitimize his desires and urges. As evidence, we have 'Aisha's words: 'I see that your Lord hastens to satisfy your desires.' These words, which she said with innocence and spontaneity, embody the goal for which the Islamic faith was formed.

"Islam allowed men to marry infants in order to justify Muhammad's marriage to 'Aisha. Islam forbade adoption in order to justify Muhammad's marriage to the wife of his adopted son—a thing forbidden by the pre-Islamic moral values of the Arabs. Islam permitted taking women captive and violating their honor in order to justify Muhammad's marriage to Safiya, after killing her husband, her father, and her brother that same night. Can you imagine any woman on the face of this earth witnessing with her own eyes the killing of her husband, her father, and her brother, and accepting the religion of their killer on the spot, and sleeping with him? Can the human mind possibly accept such a story?" [...]

STOKING THE FIRES of American political intrigue, we have a new interview of former Vice President Dick Cheney speaking of the Obama camp to gnaw. Oddly, the words of Mr. Cheney sound very much like the words of the man now occupying his former suite at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. Yes. Who can forget Joltin' Joe Biden's dire warning on the campaign trail just as things were heating up?

The incoming administration's controversial new policies on Guantanamo Bay prison and the treatment of detainees makes it more likely a terrorist attack against the United States will succeed, according to Cheney. In an interview with Politico, the former vice president issued a stringent defense of the Bush administration's record on the war on terror, and said he worries the President Obama has already made the country more vulnerable.

“When we get people who are more concerned about reading the rights to an Al Qaeda terrorist than they are with protecting the United States against people who are absolutely committed to do anything they can to kill Americans, then I worry,” Cheney said in the interview published Wednesday.

Cheney also predicted the Obama administration is likely to backtrack on its pledge to end coercive interrogation techniques, since the protection of the United States from terrorists is a "tough, mean, dirty, nasty business.”

"These are evil people. And we’re not going to win this fight by turning the other cheek," he said.

The blunt comments come two weeks after President Obama issued executive orders that will close Guantanamo Bay within a year, and shut down secret CIA prisons abroad. Obama also signed an executive order calling on U.S. personnel to follow the Army Field Manual's guidelines when it comes to interrogation. In the interview, Cheney suggested Obama was irresponsibly adhering to “campaign rhetoric,” and called Guantanamo Bay a “first-class program.”

Hold on tight. This is to be a rough ride.

Next point. Much has been made of the US ties to Saudi Arabia, even in this column, but I am willing to concede ever so cautiously the tightrope the US must walk in combatting this vicious enemy.

While my contempt for Saudi Arabia is robust, and I am particularly outraged by the intensity at which they finance their Wahabbi madrassas within this country and elsewhere without so much as a speed bump thrown out by the State Department, let's be very clear about the prosecutions of today's global war. I would now argue that for VP Cheney to have condemned the Saudis in the first years after the attacks on September 11, would have been similar to the difficulty of FDR reading the riot act to the Soviet Union during WWII.

Just as Joe Stalin was villainous and stoking the fires of Marxist discontent in the West even while we were allies with the bastard, so it is with the House of Saud in this present war against yet another totalitarianism. Cheney is fully three-dimensional. It's a shame geopolitics has to be this complicated but it is.

But we've got to readdress this issue. For years, proponents of Western, especially US, backing for Muslims in Bosnia and Kosovo have been assuring us that we would be acting as midwife for the ever-elusive peaceful, tolerant, democratic, et cetera Islam. As now-Vice President Joe Biden once put it, US support for an independent Kosovo was to have been a “much-needed example of a successful US-Muslim partnership.”

The predicate of such “partnership” was of course the absence of the radical, violent jihad ideology found—well, pretty much everywhere else in the Islamic world. Now comes one of the premier apologists for Balkan Islam, Stephen Schwartz, confirming in The Weekly Standard that—big surprise!—Kosovo and Bosnia, not to mention nearby areas of southern Serbia and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, are threatened by “Saudi-financed, ultrafundamentalist Wahhabi” agitation.

That, plus all the Saudi wings for Islamic Studies now financed and housed within nearly every major campus of higher learning on American soil, leads me to say, "Washington, we have a problem!"

And to quote the indefatigable Hugh Fitzgerald once again...

"There is no end to this. And it will not come to an end if India hands over Kashmir to Muslim rule, if all Serbs are booted out of Kosovo, if Israel is squeezed back into the 1949 Armistice Lines (the "llines of Auschwitz"), if Afghanistan becomes the private preserve of the Taliban, if China gives up Xinjiang, if Thailand gives up southern Thailand, if the Philippines gives up the Moro islands, if Father Zakaria is permanently silenced and the Copts permanently terrorized, if the Maronites all flee Lebanon for Montreal, if Christians living as quietly as they can inIraq are killed or expelled, if every single Christian or other non-Muslim living in Dar al-Islam is expelled—no, there is no end to this."

Unless the rest of the world finally resolves to fight for its culture, its history, its very life. Unfortunately, there remains a strong stupifaction to ignore the obvious in place across America, Europe, and elsewhere. Abandoned to our own lusts and shame, may God deliver us all...

THE BATTLE TO DEFEND free speech against Islamic attempts to snuff it out is stirring in the Netherlands. The outcome of this case will affect the whole world. "Anti-Islam lawmaker appeals hate speech charges," from The Associated Press today.

An Associated Press newspaper in Amsterdam has reported that "a right-wing lawmaker says he has asked the Dutch Supreme Court to halt his prosecution on hate speech charges for anti-Islamic remarks. Bigot alert. Here we have a Dutch newspaper using the code "right-wing" to smear one of its own legislators. AP thus semaphores to its readers that Wilders is evil, not to be trusted, not to be supported.

But what century are we now living? Except in totalitarian regimes of which there are many examples, there is nothing "right wing" about supporting the freedom of speech, the freedom of conscience, and the equality of rights of all people before the law against Islamic supremacism.

Geert Wilders says the remarks—including labeling the Qur'an a "fascist" work and calling for it to be banned—fall within the realm of normal discourse and his prosecution threatens his right to freedom of speech. In March 2008, Wilders released the film "Fitna," which juxtaposes Quranic verses with violent film clips and images of terrorism by Islamic radicals....

Those "Islamic radicals," of course, are the ones who actually connected the Qur'an with violence. But it isn't they who have aroused the anger of the Islamic world. It is only Wilders, because he is an Infidel who has dared to speak out against this religiously sanctioned violence.

In a follow-up to this article, German police have issued an apology for their act of cowardice in the face of a Muslim mob. Germany must make a hoice. So does the rest of Europe and America, too. The Muslims will make sure that our choices will be tough. They are organized. The West is not.

PEOPLE IN DUISBURG, GERMANY, and across the world, are angry after police admitted to removing an Israeli flag that hanging in a student's window during a pro-Palestinian protest, Spiegel Online reported.

The western German city's police chief issued an apology for using force to storm the student's apartment Saturday to remove the flag because 10,000 demonstrators protesting the Gaza Strip invasion in the street below were angered by it. The protest was organized by the Islamist group Milli Görüs, which has been monitored by German intelligence agencies for potentially radical behavior.

The student who hung the flag, whom the paper did not identify in order to protect him, likened the crowd's reaction to the Israeli symbol to that of a "lynch mob," Speigel reported. Video of police officers tearing down the flags has been widely circulated on YouTube. The student claims protesters threw things at his apartment for hours, and he was afraid to return home. Duisburg chief of police, Rolf Cebin, publicly apologized for the incident.

"I deeply regret the fact that, especially, the feelings of Jewish people were hurt," he was quoted by Spiegel. "From the standpoint of the present, it was the wrong decision."

The state chapter of the center-left Social Democratic Party (SPD) plans to raise the issue during a meeting of the state domestic affairs committee on Thursday.

Here's a post from "a proud kafir" which forced me to laugh.

THAT GREATEST OF SCAMMERS, fraudsters, murderers—Mohammed-the-cross-dressing, child-molesting desert-rat, never, EVER, used Google Earth. That's enough to label Google Earth as HARAM and, therefore, off limits to Mohammedans.

By the way, speaking of the use of technologies that those barbarians could never have invented by submitting to the will of their imaginary allah, or letting inshallah fatalism be the cornerstone of their lives, a few minutes ago, while checking out Frank Miller's entry on Wikipedia, I came across this gem he produced during a radio interview:

"Nobody questions why we, after Pearl Harbor, attacked Nazi Germany. It was because we were taking on a form of global fascism, we're doing the same thing now ... It seems to me quite obvious that our country and the entire Western World is up against an existential foe that knows exactly what it wants, yet for some reason, nobody seems to be talking about who we're up against, and the sixth-century barbarism that they actually represent. These people saw people's heads off. They enslave women, they genitally mutilate their daughters, they do not behave by any cultural norms that are sensible to us. I’m speaking into a microphone that never could have been a product of their culture, and I'm living in a city where 3000 of my neighbors were killed by thieves of airplanes they never could have built."

It's the economy and the oil, friend. America's keadership sold us a bill of global goods, exported our industries, jobs, know-how, and security, and now everyone of the crooks who betrayed our constitution for the sake of personal profit are too busy shoring up their own personal wealth with these deals to backtrack when it was possible. All out war is our future. It doesn't take a tea leaf expert to figure this one out. A thumbnail sketch of world history will suffice.
