ISRAEL WILL SURVIVE, OR NONE OF US WILL

IRANIAN PRESIDENT MAHMOUD AHMADINEJAD said on Thursday that the state of Israel is a "stinking corpse" that is destined to disappear, the French news agency AFP reported. "Those who think they can revive the stinking corpse of the usurping and fake Israeli regime by throwing a birthday party are seriously mistaken," the official IRNA news agency quoted Ahmadinejad as having said.

"Today the reason for the Zionist regime's existence is questioned, and this regime is on its way to annihilation," he added.

Ahmadinejad further stated that Israel "has reached the end like a dead rat after being slapped by the Lebanese" - referring to the Second Lebanon War in the summer of 2006.

This type of bellicose remark has been coming out of the mouth of Iran's president for months, even years, and yet Iran has the chutzpah to complain to the United Nations about Hillary's recent remarks (for which the liberal press vilified her, taking the gruesome Ahmadinejad's position in an absurd piece of journalistic thinking). But of course, jihadists of all stripes have never found chutzpah in short supply.

Miniscule Israel, while constantly battling for its very survival for 60 years has absorbed more immigrants per percentage of population than any country in the world, many of them poor and uneducated. But to its everlasting credit, it now has a greater GNP than the entire Arab world, including the oil-producing nations. Israel has given the world a wealth of technology, medical and scholarly advances and has produced art, music and literature so incommensurate with its size that it is miraculous.

The creation of the State of Israel was the single greatest event of the twentieth century. The destruction of Israel would be the single greatest catastrophe in the history of civilization.
